I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what [is] the breadth thereof, and what [is] the length thereof.
Toe het ek gesê, Waar gaan jy heen? En hy het tot my gesê, Om Jérusalem te meet, om te sien wat die breedte daarvan is, en wat die lengte daarvan is.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
En kyk, die engel wat met my gespreek het, het uitgegaan, en ‚'n ander engel het uitgegaan om hom te ontmoet,

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited [as] towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
En tot hom gesê, Hardloop, spreek tot hierdie jongman, sê, Jérusalem sal bewoon word soos dorpe sonder mure vanweë die menigte van mense en vee daarin:

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Want ek, sê die HERE, sal vir haar ’n muur van vuur rondom wees, en sal die heerlikheid in die midde van haar wees.

Ho, ho, [come forth], and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
Ho, ho, kom uit, en vlug uit die land van die noorde, sê die HERE: want ek het julle na die vier winde van die hemel uitgesprei, sê die HERE.

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest [with] the daughter of Babylon.
Verlos jou, o Sion, wat by die dogter van Babel woon.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Want so sê die HERE van leërskare; Ná die heerlikheid het Hy my gestuur tot die nasies wat julle geplunder het: want hy wat julle aanraak, raak die appel van sy oog aan.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
Want, kyk, ek sal my hand op hulle skud, en hulle sal ’n buit wees vir hulle dienaars: en julle sal weet dat die HERE van leërskare my gestuur het.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
Sing en verheug jou, o dogter van Sion: want, kyk, ek kom, en ek sal in die midde van jou woon, sê die HERE.

And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
En baie nasies sal in daardie dag by die HERE aangesluit word, en sal my volk wees: en ek sal in die midde van jou woon, en jy sal weet dat die HERE van leërskare my tot jou gestuur het.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
En die HERE sal Juda as sy deel in die heilige land in besit neem, en sal Jérusalem weer verkies.
13
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
Wees stil, o alle vlees, voor die HERE: want Hy is opgewek uit sy heilige woning.
