Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Sing voort die eer van sy Naam: maak sy lof heerlik.

Say unto God, How terrible [art thou in] thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
Sê tot God, Hoe vreeslik is U in u werke! deur die grootheid van u mag sal u vyande hulleself aan U onderwerp.

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing [to] thy name. Selah.
Die hele aarde sal U aanbid, en tot U sing; hulle sal tot u Naam sing. Sela.

Come and see the works of God: [he is] terrible [in his] doing toward the children of men.
Kom en sien die werke van God: Hy is vreeslik in sy doen teenoor die kinders van die mens.
6
He turned the sea into dry [land]: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
Hy het die see in droë land verander: hulle het te voet deur die vloed gegaan: daar het ons in Hom juig.
7
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
Hy heers deur sy mag vir ewig; sy oë aanskou die nasies: laat nie die opstandiges hulleself verhef nie. Sela.

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
O seën ons God, julle volk, en laat die stem van sy lof gehoor word:
9
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
Wat ons siel in die lewe hou, en laat nie ons voete beweeg nie.
10
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
Want U, o God, het ons beproef: U het ons beproef soos silwer beproef word.
11
Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
U het ons in die net gebring; U het benoudheid op ons lendene gelê.
12
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place].
U het manne oor ons hoofde laat ry; ons het deur vuur en deur water gegaan: maar U het ons in ‚'n welvarende plek uitgebring.

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
Ek sal in u huis gaan met brandoffers: ek sal U my geloftes betaal,
14
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
Wat my lippe uitgespreek het, en my mond gespreek het, toe ek in benoudheid was.
15
I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
Ek sal U brandoffers van vet diere offer, met die reukwerk van ramme; ek sal bulle met bokke offer. Sela.

Come [and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Kom en hoor, al julle wat God vrees, en ek sal verklaar wat Hy vir my siel gedoen het.
17
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
Ek het tot Hom met my mond geroep, en Hy is verhoog met my tong.
18
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me]:
As ek ongeregtigheid in my hart aanskou het, sou die Here nie hoor nie:
19
[But] verily God hath heard [me]; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Maar waarlik God het gehoor my; Hy het gelet op die stem van my gebed.
20
Blessed [be] God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
Geseënd is God, wat nie my gebed weggeneem het nie, en nie sy barmhartigheid van my nie.
