Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
Toe is ons mond met lag gevul, en ons tong met sing: toe het hulle onder die heidene gesê, Die HERE het groot dinge vir hulle gedoen.

The LORD hath done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
Die HERE het groot dinge vir ons gedoen; waarvan ons vrolik is.

Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
Keer ons gevangenisskap om, o HERE, soos die strome in die suide.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Dié wat in trane saai, sal in juiging maai.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves [with him].
Hy wat voortgaan en ween, en kosbare saad dra, sal sekerlik met juiging terugkom, en sy gerwe saambring.
