ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
Gelukkig is die onbesproke in die weg, wat in die wet van die HERE wandel.
2
Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.
Gelukkig is hulle wat sy getuienisse bewaar, en Hom met die hele hart soek.
3
They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Hulle doen ook geen ongeregtigheid nie: hulle wandel in sy weë.
4
Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.
U het beveel dat ons u voorskrifte ywerig moet bewaar.
5
O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
Ag, dat my weë gerig was om u insettinge te bewaar!

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Dan sou ek nie beskaamd wees nie, wanneer ek ag gee op al u gebooie.
7
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
Ek sal U met opregtheid van hart prys, wanneer ek u regverdige oordele geleer het.
8
I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
Ek sal u insettinge bewaar: o verlaat my nie heeltemal nie.

BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word.
Waarmee sal ’n jong man sy pad reinig? Deur dit te neem volgens u woord.
10
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Met my hele hart het ek U gesoek: o laat my nie van u gebooie afdwaal nie.
11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
U woord het ek in my hart verberg, dat ek nie teen U sou sondig nie.
12
Blessed [art] thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
Geseënd is U, o HERE: leer my u insettinge.
13
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Met my lippe het ek al die oordele van u mond verklaar.
14
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all riches.
Ek het my verlustig in die weg van u getuienisse, soos in alle rykdom.
15
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
Ek sal aan u voorskrifte peins, en ag gee op u weë.
16
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Ek sal my verlustig in u insettinge: ek sal u woord nie vergeet nie.
17
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word.
Handel goed met u dienaar, dat ek mag lewe, en u woord bewaar.
18
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Open my oë, dat ek wonderlike dinge uit u wet mag aanskou.
19
I [am] a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
Ek is ’n vreemdeling in die aarde: verberg u gebooie nie van my nie.
20
My soul breaketh for the longing [that it hath] unto thy judgments at all times.
My siel is verbreek van die begeerte wat dit te alle tye na u oordele het.
21
Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
U het die trotses bestraf wat vervloek is, wat van u gebooie afdwaal.
22
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
Verwyder van my smaad en veragting; want ek het u getuienisse bewaar.
23
Princes also did sit [and] speak against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
Vorstes het ook teen my gesit en gespreek: maar u dienaar het aan u insettinge peins.
24
Thy testimonies also [are] my delight [and] my counsellers.
U getuienisse is ook my behae en my raadgewers.
25
DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.
My siel kleef aan die stof: maak my lewendig volgens u woord.
26
I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
Ek het my weë verklaar, en U het my gehoor: leer my u insettinge.
27
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
Laat my die weg van u voorskrifte verstaan: so sal ek aan u wonderlike werke peins.
28
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
My siel smelt van smart: versterk my volgens u woord.
29
Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
Verwyder van my die weg van leuens: en gee my u wet genadiglik.
30
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid [before me].
Ek het die weg van waarheid gekies: u oordele het ek voor my gestel.
31
I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
Ek het my aan u getuienisse geheg: o HERE, sit my nie tot skande nie.
32
I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Ek sal in die weg van u gebooie hardloop, wanneer U my hart vergroot.
33
HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it [unto] the end.
Leer my, o HERE, die weg van u insettinge; en ek sal dit tot die einde toe bewaar.
34
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.
Gee my verstand, en ek sal u wet bewaar; ja, ek sal dit met my hele hart bewaar.
35
Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
Laat my in die pad van u gebooie gaan; want daarin behae ek my.
36
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Neig my hart tot u getuienisse, en nie tot hebsug nie.
37
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; [and] quicken thou me in thy way.
Wend my oë af van om ydelheid te aanskou; en maak my lewendig in u weg.
38
Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.
Vestig u woord aan u dienaar, wat toegewyd is aan u vrees.
39
Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.
Wend my smaad af wat ek vrees: want u oordele is goed.
40
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
Kyk, ek het na u voorskrifte begeer: maak my lewendig in u geregtigheid.
41
VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
Laat u barmhartighede ook tot my kom, o HERE, selfs u heil, volgens u woord.
42
So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
So sal ek iets hê om hom te antwoord wat my smaad: want ek vertrou op u woord.
43
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
En neem die woord van waarheid nie heeltemal uit my mond nie; want ek het op u oordele gehoop.
44
So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
So sal ek u wet voortdurend bewaar, vir ewig en altyd.
45
And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
En ek sal in vryheid wandel: want ek soek u voorskrifte.
46
I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
Ek sal ook van u getuienisse voor konings spreek, en sal nie beskaamd wees nie.
47
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
En ek sal my verlustig in u gebooie, wat ek liefhet.
48
My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
My hande sal ek ook tot u gebooie, wat ek liefhet, ophef; en ek sal aan u insettinge peins.

ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
Dink aan die woord aan u dienaar, waarop U my laat hoop het.
50
This [is] my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
Dit is my troos in my benoudheid: want u woord het my lewendig gemaak.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] have I not declined from thy law.
Die trotses het my baie bespot: tog het ek nie van u wet afgewyk nie.

I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
Ek het u oordele van ouds onthou, o HERE; en het myself getroos.

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Verskrikking het my aangegryp, vanweë die goddelose wat u wet verlaat.
54
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
U insettinge was my liedere in die huis van my pelgrimskap.

I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
Ek het u Naam in die nag onthou, o HERE, en het u wet bewaar.

This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
Dit het ek gehad, omdat ek u voorskrifte bewaar het.

CHETH. [Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
U is my deel, o HERE: ek het gesê dat ek u woorde sou bewaar.

I intreated thy favour with [my] whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.
Ek het u aangesig met my hele hart gesmeek: wees my genadig volgens u woord.
59
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
Ek het aan my weë gedink, en my voete tot u getuienisse gekeer.
60
I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
Ek het gehaas, en nie getalm nie, om u gebooie te bewaar.
61
The bands of the wicked have robbed me: [but] I have not forgotten thy law.
Die bendes van die goddelose het my beroof: maar ek het u wet nie vergeet nie.
62
At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.
In die middernag sal ek opstaan om U te prys vanweë u regverdige oordele.
63
I [am] a companion of all [them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
Ek is ’n metgesel van almal wat U vrees, en van dié wat u voorskrifte bewaar.

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
Die aarde, o HERE, is vol van u barmhartigheid: leer my u insettinge.

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
U het goed met u dienaar gehandel, o HERE, volgens u woord.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Leer my goeie oordeel en kennis: want ek het u gebooie geglo.

Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Voordat ek verdruk is, het ek afgedwaal: maar nou het ek u woord bewaar.

Thou [art] good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
U is goed, en doen goed; leer my u insettinge.
69
The proud have forged a lie against me: [but] I will keep thy precepts with [my] whole heart.
Die trotses het ’n leuen teen my gesmee: maar ek sal u voorskrifte met my hele hart bewaar.

Their heart is as fat as grease; [but] I delight in thy law.
Hulle hart is so vet soos spek; maar ek behae in u wet.

[It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Dit is goed vir my dat ek verdruk is; dat ek u insettinge mag leer.

The law of thy mouth [is] better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
Die wet van u mond is beter vir my as duisende goud en silwer.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
U hande het my gemaak en my geformeer: gee my verstand, dat ek u gebooie mag leer.

They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
Dié wat U vrees, sal my sien, en vrolik wees; omdat ek op u woord gehoop het.

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments [are] right, and [that] thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
Ek weet, o HERE, dat u oordele reg is, en dat U my in getrouheid verdruk het.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
Laat, ek bid U, u barmhartige liefde tot my troos wees, volgens u woord aan u dienaar.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.
Laat u tedere barmhartighede tot my kom, dat ek mag lewe: want u wet is my behae.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.
Laat die trotses beskaamd word; want hulle het my sonder oorsaak verkeerd behandel: maar ek sal aan u voorskrifte peins.

Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.
Laat dié wat U vrees, tot my keer, en dié wat u getuienisse ken.

Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.
Laat my hart opreg wees in u insettinge; dat ek nie beskaamd word nie.

CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.
My siel begewe vir u heil: maar ek hoop op u woord.

Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
My oë begewe vir u woord, sê, Wanneer sal U my troos?

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.
Want ek is soos ’n bottel in die rook geword; tog vergeet ek u insettinge nie.

How many [are] the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
Hoeveel is die dae van u dienaar? wanneer sal U oordeel uitvoer op dié wat my vervolg?

The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not after thy law.
Die trotses het kuile vir my gegrawe, wat nie volgens u wet is nie.

All thy commandments [are] faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
Al u gebooie is getrou: hulle vervolg my sonder oorsaak; help my.
87
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
Hulle het my byna op die aarde vernietig; maar ek het u voorskrifte nie verlaat nie.

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
Maak my lewendig volgens u liefde; so sal ek die getuienis van u mond bewaar.

LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Vir ewig, o HERE, bly u woord in die hemel.

Thy faithfulness [is] unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
U getrouheid is tot alle geslagte: U het die aarde gevestig, en dit bly.

They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all [are] thy servants.
Hulle bly vandag volgens u ordonnanse; want almal is u dienaars.

Unless thy law [had been] my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
As u wet nie my behae was nie, sou ek in my benoudheid vergaan het.

I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
Ek sal u voorskrifte nooit vergeet nie: want daarmee het U my lewendig gemaak.

I [am] thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
Ek is Uwe, red my; want ek het u voorskrifte gesoek.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: [but] I will consider thy testimonies.
Die goddelose het op my gewag om my te vernietig: maar ek sal u getuienisse oorweeg.

I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.
Ek het ’n einde van alle volmaaktheid gesien: maar u gebod is uitermate breed.

MEM. O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.
O hoe lief het ek u wet! dit is my meditasie die hele dag lank.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they [are] ever with me.
U het my deur u gebooie wyser gemaak as my vyande: want hulle is altyd by my.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my meditation.
Ek het meer verstand as al my leermeesters: want u getuienisse is my meditasie.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
Ek verstaan meer as die bejaardes, omdat ek u voorskrifte bewaar.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.
Ek het my voete van elke boos pad teruggehou, dat ek u woord mag bewaar.

I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
Ek het nie van u oordele afgewyk nie: want U het my geleer.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!
Hoe soet is u woorde vir my smaak! ja, soeter as heuning vir my mond!

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Deur u voorskrifte kry ek verstand: daarom haat ek elke valse weg.

NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
U woord is ’n lamp vir my voet, en ’n lig vir my pad.

I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
Ek het gesweer, en ek sal dit uitvoer, dat ek u regverdige oordele sal bewaar.

I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.
Ek is baie verdruk: maak my lewendig, o HERE, volgens u woord.

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
Aanvaar, ek bid U, die vrywillige offers van my mond, o HERE, en leer my u oordele.

My soul [is] continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
My siel is voortdurend in my hand: tog vergeet ek u wet nie.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
Die goddelose het ’n strik vir my gelê: tog het ek nie van u voorskrifte afgedwaal nie.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they [are] the rejoicing of my heart.
U getuienisse het ek as ’n erfenis vir ewig geneem: want hulle is die vreugde van my hart.

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, [even unto] the end.
Ek het my hart geneig om u insettinge te doen, altyd, selfs tot die einde.

SAMECH. I hate [vain] thoughts: but thy law do I love.
Ek haat ydele gedagtes: maar u wet het ek lief.

Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
U is my skuilplek en my skild: ek hoop op u woord.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
Vertrek van my, julle kwaaddoeners: want ek sal die gebooie van my God bewaar.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Ondersteun my volgens u woord, dat ek mag lewe: en laat my nie in my hoop beskaamd word nie.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
Hou my vas, en ek sal veilig wees: en ek sal voortdurend ag gee op u insettinge.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit [is] falsehood.
U het almal vertrap wat van u insettinge afdwaal: want hulle bedrog is valsheid.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
U sit al die goddelose van die aarde weg soos skuisels: daarom het ek u getuienisse lief.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
My vlees bewe van vrees vir U; en ek is bang vir u oordele.

AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
Ek het oordeel en geregtigheid gedoen: verlaat my nie aan my verdrukkers nie.

Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
Wees borg vir u dienaar tot die goeie: laat nie die trotses my verdruk nie.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
My oë begewe vir u heil, en vir die woord van u geregtigheid.

Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
Handel met u dienaar volgens u barmhartigheid, en leer my u insettinge.

I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
Ek is u dienaar; gee my verstand, dat ek u getuienisse mag ken.

[It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.
Dit is tyd vir U, HERE, om te werk: want hulle het u wet vernietig.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
Daarom het ek u gebooie lief bo goud; ja, bo fyn goud.

Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts [concerning] all [things to be] right; [and] I hate every false way.
Daarom beskou ek al u voorskrifte aangaande alle dinge as reg; en ek haat elke valse weg.

PE. Thy testimonies [are] wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
U getuienisse is wonderlik: daarom bewaar my siel hulle.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Die ingang van u woorde gee lig; dit gee verstand aan die eenvoudiges.

I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.
Ek het my mond wyd oopgemaak, en gesmag: want ek het na u gebooie begeer.

Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
Kyk op my, en wees my genadig, soos U gewoond is om te doen aan dié wat u Naam liefhet.

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Orden my treë in u woord: en laat geen ongeregtigheid oor my heers nie.

Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.
Verlos my van die verdrukking van die mens: so sal ek u voorskrifte bewaar.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.
Laat u aangesig skyn op u dienaar; en leer my u insettinge.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.
Riviere van waters loop uit my oë, omdat hulle u wet nie bewaar nie.

TZADDI. Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, and upright [are] thy judgments.
Regverdig is U, o HERE, en opreg is u oordele.

Thy testimonies [that] thou hast commanded [are] righteous and very faithful.
U getuienisse wat U beveel het, is regverdig en baie getrou.

My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
My ywer het my verteer, omdat my vyande u woorde vergeet het.

Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
U woord is baie rein: daarom het u dienaar dit lief.

I [am] small and despised: [yet] do not I forget thy precepts.
Ek is klein en verag: tog vergeet ek u voorskrifte nie.

Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.
U geregtigheid is ’n ewige geregtigheid, en u wet is die waarheid.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments [are] my delights.
Benoudheid en angs het my aangegryp: tog is u gebooie my behae.

The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
Die geregtigheid van u getuienisse is ewig: gee my verstand, en ek sal lewe.

KOPH. I cried with [my] whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.
Ek het met my hele hart geroep; hoor my, o HERE: ek sal u insettinge bewaar.

I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.
Ek het tot U geroep; red my, en ek sal u getuienisse bewaar.

I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.
Ek het die dagbreek voorkom, en geroep: ek het op u woord gehoop.

Mine eyes prevent the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
My oë voorkom die nagwagte, dat ek aan u woord mag peins.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.
Hoor my stem volgens u liefde: o HERE, maak my lewendig volgens u oordeel.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.
Hulle nader wat agter boosheid aangaan: hulle is ver van u wet.

Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are] truth.
U is naby, o HERE; en al u gebooie is waarheid.

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
Aangaande u getuienisse, ek het van ouds geweet dat U hulle vir ewig gegrondves het.

RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.
Aanskou my benoudheid, en verlos my: want ek het u wet nie vergeet nie.

Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.
Bepleit my saak, en verlos my: maak my lewendig volgens u woord.

Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
Heil is ver van die goddelose: want hulle soek nie u insettinge nie.

Great [are] thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.
Groot is u tedere barmhartighede, o HERE: maak my lewendig volgens u oordele.

Many [are] my persecutors and mine enemies; [yet] do I not decline from thy testimonies.
Baie is my vervolgers en my teëstanders; tog wyk ek nie van u getuienisse af nie.

I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
Ek het die oortreders aangeskou, en was bedroef; omdat hulle u woord nie bewaar het nie.

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.

Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.
U woord is waarheid van die begin af: en elkeen van u regverdige oordele is ewig.

SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
Vorstes het my sonder oorsaak vervolg: maar my hart staan in ontsag vir u woord.

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
Ek juig by u woord, soos een wat ’n groot buit vind.

I hate and abhor lying: [but] thy law do I love.
Ek haat en verafsku leuens: maar u wet het ek lief.

Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
Sewe maal ’n dag prys ek U vanweë u regverdige oordele.

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Groot vrede het hulle wat u wet liefhet: en niks sal hulle aanstoot gee nie.

LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.
HERE, ek het op u heil gehoop, en u gebooie gedoen.

My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
My siel het u getuienisse bewaar; en ek het hulle uitermate lief.

I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways [are] before thee.
Ek het u voorskrifte en u getuienisse bewaar: want al my weë is voor U.

TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
Laat my geroep naby U kom, o HERE: gee my verstand volgens u woord.

Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
Laat my smeking voor U kom: verlos my volgens u woord.

My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
My lippe sal lof uitstort, wanneer U my u insettinge geleer het.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.
My tong sal van u woord spreek: want al u gebooie is regverdigheid.

Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
Laat u hand my help; want ek het u voorskrifte gekies.

I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law [is] my delight.
Ek het na u heil begeer, o HERE; en u wet is my behae.

Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
Laat my siel lewe, en dit sal U prys; en laat u oordele my help.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
Ek het gedwaal soos ’n verlore skaap; soek u dienaar; want ek het u gebooie nie vergeet nie.
