1
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and [is] a witness, whether he hath seen or known [of it]; if he do not utter [it], then he shall bear his iniquity.
En as ‚'n siel sondig, en die stem van ‚'n eed hoor, en hy is ‚'n getuie, of hy dit gesien of geweet het; as hy dit nie vertel nie, dan moet hy sy ongeregtigheid dra.

Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether [it be] a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and [if] it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.
Of as ‚'n siel enige onrein ding aanraak, of dit die dooie liggaam is van ‚'n onrein wildsdier, of die dooie liggaam van onrein vee, of die dooie liggaam van onrein kruipende diere, en as dit vir hom verborge is; hy is ook onrein, en skuldig.

Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness [it be] that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth [of it], then he shall be guilty.
Of as hy die onreinheid van ‚'n mens aanraak, watter onreinheid dit ook al mag wees waarmee ‚'n mens onrein word, en dit vir hom verborge is; wanneer hy dit weet, dan is hy skuldig.

Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with [his] lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever [it be] that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth [of it], then he shall be guilty in one of these.
Of as ‚'n siel sweer, en uitspreek met die lippe om kwaad te doen, of om goed te doen, watter ding dit ook al mag wees wat ‚'n mens met ‚'n eed uitspreek, en dit vir hom verborge is; wanneer hy dit weet, dan is hy skuldig in een van hierdie dinge.

And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these [things], that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that [thing]:
En dit moet wees, wanneer hy skuldig is in een van hierdie dinge, dat hy belydenis moet doen van dit waarin hy gesondig het:

And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.
En hy moet sy skuldoffer aan die HERE bring vir sy sonde wat hy gesondig het, ‚'n wyfie van die kudde, ‚'n lam of ‚'n bokkie, tot ‚'n sondoffer; en die priester moet versoening vir hom maak van sy sonde.

And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.
En as hy nie in staat is om ‚'n lam te bring nie, dan moet hy vir sy oortreding wat hy gesondig het, twee tortelduiwe of twee jong duiwe aan die HERE bring; een tot ‚'n sondoffer, en die ander tot ‚'n brandoffer.

And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer [that] which [is] for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide [it] asunder:
En hy moet hulle by die priester bring, wat eers die een tot ‚'n sondoffer moet offer, en sy kop naby sy nek afdraai, maar dit nie heeltemal deurskeur nie:

And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it [is] a sin offering.
En hy moet van die bloed van die sondoffer aan die sy van die altaar sprinkel; en die oorskot van die bloed moet by die voet van die altaar uitgedruk word: dit is ‚'n sondoffer.

And he shall offer the second [for] a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.
En hy moet die tweede tot ‚'n brandoffer berei volgens die ordinasie: en die priester moet versoening vir hom maak van sy sonde wat hy gesondig het, en dit sal hom vergewe word.

But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put [any] frankincense thereon: for it [is] a sin offering.
Maar as hy nie in staat is om twee tortelduiwe, of twee jong duiwe te bring nie, dan moet hy wat gesondig het, as sy offer die tiende deel van ‚'n efa fyn meel tot ‚'n sondoffer bring; hy mag geen olie daarop sit nie, en geen reukwerk daarop sit nie: want dit is ‚'n sondoffer.

Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, [even] a memorial thereof, and burn [it] on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it [is] a sin offering.
Dan moet hy dit by die priester bring, en die priester moet sy hand vol daarvan neem, selfs ‚'n gedenkoffer daarvan, en dit op die altaar aan die brand steek, volgens die vuuroffers van die HERE: dit is ‚'n sondoffer.

And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and [the remnant] shall be the priest’s, as a meat offering.
En die priester moet versoening vir hom maak van sy sonde wat hy gesondig het in een van hierdie, en dit sal hom vergewe word: en die oorskot moet die priester s‚'n wees, soos die spysoffer.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
En die HERE het tot Moses gespreek, en gesê,

If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:
As ‚'n siel ‚'n oortreding begaan, en deur dwaling sondig in die heilige dinge van die HERE; dan moet hy sy skuldoffer aan die HERE bring: ‚'n ram sonder gebrek uit die kudde, volgens jou skatting in sikkels silwer, na die sikkel van die heiligdom, tot ‚'n skuldoffer.

And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
En hy moet vergoed vir die skade wat hy aan die heilige ding gedoen het, en moet die vyfde deel daarvan byvoeg, en dit aan die priester gee: en die priester moet versoening vir hom maak met die ram van die skuldoffer, en dit sal hom vergewe word.

And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist [it] not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
En as ‚'n siel sondig, en enige van hierdie dinge doen wat verbode is om volgens die gebooie van die HERE gedoen te word; al het hy dit nie geweet nie, is hy tog skuldig, en moet sy ongeregtigheid dra.

And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist [it] not, and it shall be forgiven him.
En hy moet ‚'n ram sonder gebrek uit die kudde, volgens jou skatting, tot ‚'n skuldoffer by die priester bring: en die priester moet versoening vir hom maak aangaande sy onkunde waarin hy gedwaal het en dit nie geweet het nie, en dit sal hom vergewe word.

It [is] a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD.
Dit is ‚'n skuldoffer: hy is sekerlik skuldig voor die HERE.
