For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
Want, kyk, in daardie dae, en in daardie tyd, wanneer ek die gevangenisskap van Juda en Jérusalem terugbring,

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and [for] my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Sal ek ook al die nasies bymekaarmaak, en hulle in die vallei van Josafat laat afdaal, en sal daar met hulle twis vanweë my volk en vanweë my erfenis Israel, wat hulle onder die nasies verstrooi het, en my land verdeel het.

And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
En hulle het die lot oor my volk gewerp, en ‚'n seun vir ‚'n hoer gegee, en ‚'n dogter vir wyn verkoop, dat hulle mag drink.

Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly [and] speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
Ja, en wat het julle met My te doen, o Tirus, en Sidon, en al die kuslande van Palestina? wil julle My ‚'n vergelding gee? en as julle My vergelde, sal ek julle vergelding haastig en spoedig op julle eie hoof terugbring;

Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
Omdat julle my silwer en my goud geneem het, en my aangename dinge in julle tempels ingedra het:

The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
Die kinders ook van Juda en die kinders van Jérusalem het julle aan die Grieke verkoop, dat julle hulle ver van hulle grens mag verwyder.

Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
Kyk, ek sal hulle opwek uit die plek waarheen julle hulle verkoop het, en sal julle vergelding op julle eie hoof terugbring:

And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken [it].
En ek sal julle seuns en julle dogters in die hand van die kinders van Juda verkoop, en hulle sal hulle aan die Sabeërs, aan ’n volk ver weg, verkoop: want die HERE het dit gespreek.

Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
Roep dit uit onder die nasies; berei oorlog; wek die magtiges op; laat al die manne van oorlog nader kom; laat hulle optrek:
10
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I [am] strong.
Slaan julle ploegskare tot swaarde, en julle snoeimesse tot spiese: laat die swakke sê, Ek is sterk.
11
Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
Kom bymekaar, en kom, al julle nasies, en versamel julle rondom: laat u magtiges daarheen afdaal, o HERE.
12
Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
Laat die nasies opgewek word, en kom op na die vallei van Josafat: want daar sal ek sit om al die nasies rondom te oordeel.
13
Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness [is] great.
Sit julle in die sekel, want die oes is ryp: kom, klim af; want die wynpers is vol, die wineperse loop oor; want hulle goddeloosheid is groot.
14
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision.
Multitudes, multitudes in die vallei van beslissing: want die dag van die HERE is naby in die vallei van beslissing.
15
The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
Die son en die maan sal swart word, en die sterre sal hulle glans terugtrek.
16
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
Die HERE sal ook uit Sion brul, en sy stem uit Jérusalem laat hoor; en die hemele en die aarde sal bewe: maar die HERE sal die hoop van sy volk wees, en die sterkte van die kinders van Israel.

So shall ye know that I [am] the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
So sal julle weet dat ek die HERE julle God is wat in Sion woon, my heilige berg: dan sal Jérusalem heilig wees, en daar sal geen vreemdelinge meer daardeur gaan nie.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
En dit sal in daardie dag gebeur, dat die berge nuwe wyn sal drup, en die heuwels met melk sal vloei, en al die riviere van Juda sal met waters vloei, en ‚'n fontein sal uit die huis van die HERE uitgaan, en die vallei van Sittim natmaak.

Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence [against] the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Egipte sal ‚'n verwoesting wees, en Edom sal ‚'n verwoeste wildernis wees, vir die geweld teen die kinders van Juda, omdat hulle onskuldige bloed in hulle land vergiet het.

But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
Maar Juda sal vir ewig bewoon word, en Jérusalem van geslag tot geslag.
21
For I will cleanse their blood [that] I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
Want ek sal hulle bloed reinig wat ek nie gereinig het nie: want die HERE woon in Sion.
