Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Toe het Bildad die Sugiet geantwoord, en gesê,

Dominion and fear [are] with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

Heerskappy en vrees is by Hom, Hy maak vrede in sy hoogtes.

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Is daar enige getal van sy leërs? en op wie skyn sy lig nie?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean [that is] born of a woman?

Hoe kan die mens dan regverdig wees by God? of hoe kan hy rein wees wat van ‚'n vrou gebore is?

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

Kyk selfs na die maan, en dit skyn nie; ja, die sterre is nie rein in sy oë nie.

How much less man, [that is] a worm? and the son of man, [which is] a worm?

Hoeveel te minder die mens, wat ‚'n wurm is? en die seun van die mens, wat ‚'n wurm is?
