And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
En Hy het tot my gesê, Seun van die mens, staan op jou voete, en ek sal met jou spreek.

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
En die gees het in my ingegaan toe Hy met my gespreek het, en my op my voete gestel; en ek het Hom gehoor wat met my spreek.

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, [even] unto this very day.
En Hy het tot my gesê, Seun van die mens, ek stuur jou tot die kinders van Israel, tot ’n opstandige nasie wat teen My gerebelleer het: hulle en hulle vaders het teen My oortree selfs tot hierdie selfde dag.

For [they are] impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.
Want hulle is onbeskaamde kinders en hardnekkig: ek stuur jou tot hulle; en jy sal tot hulle sê, So sê die Here GOD.

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they [are] a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
En hulle, of hulle wil hoor, of of hulle wil nalaat, (want hulle is ‚'n opstandige huis,) tog sal hulle weet dat daar ‚'n profeet onder hulle was.

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns [be] with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house.
En jy, seun van die mens, wees nie bang vir hulle nie, en wees ook nie bang vir hulle woorde nie, alhoewel dorings en distels by jou is, en jy woon onder skerpioene: wees nie bang vir hulle woorde nie, en wees ook nie ontsteld vir hulle aangesigte nie, alhoewel hulle ‚'n opstandige huis is.

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they [are] most rebellious.
En jy sal my woorde tot hulle spreek, of hulle wil hoor, of of hulle wil nalaat: want hulle is baie opstandig.

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
Maar jy, seun van die mens, hoor wat ek tot jou spreek; wees nie opstandig soos daardie opstandige huis nie: maak jou mond oop, en eet wat ek jou gee.

And when I looked, behold, an hand [was] sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book [was] therein;
En toe ek gekyk het, kyk, ‚'n hand is tot my uitgestuur; en kyk, ‚'n rol van ‚'n boek was daarin;

And he spread it before me; and it [was] written within and without: and [there was] written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
En Hy het dit voor my uitgesprei; en dit was binne en buite beskrywe: en daar was daarop geskrywe weeklagte, en treuring, en wee.
