1
And thou shalt make an altar [of] shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof [shall be] three cubits.
En jy moet ‚'n altaar van sittimhout maak, vyf el lank, en vyf el breed; die altaar moet vierkantig wees: en die hoogte daarvan moet drie el wees.

And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.
En jy moet die horings daarvan maak aan die vier hoeke daarvan: sy horings moet uit homself wees: en jy moet dit met koper oordek.

And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make [of] brass.
En jy moet sy panne maak om sy as te ontvang, en sy skoppe, en sy komme, en sy vurke, en sy vuurpanne: al die gereedskap daarvan moet jy van koper maak.

And thou shalt make for it a grate of network [of] brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.
En jy moet ‚'n rooster daarvoor maak van koperwerk, en op die net vier koper ringe maak aan die vier hoeke daarvan.

And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.
En jy moet dit sit onder die omheining van die altaar van onder af, dat die net tot die midde van die altaar mag wees.

And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
En jy moet draagstokke maak vir die altaar, draagstokke van sittimhout, en hulle met koper oordek.

And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.
En die draagstokke moet in die ringe gesteel word, en die draagstokke moet aan die twee sye van die altaar wees om dit te dra.

Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make [it].
Hol met planke moet jy dit maak: soos dit jou op die berg getoon is, so moet hulle dit maak.

And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward [there shall be] hangings for the court [of] fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:
En jy moet die voorhof van die tabernakel maak: vir die suidekant suidwaarts moet daar gordyne wees vir die voorhof van fyn getwynde linne van honderd el lank vir die een sy:

And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets [shall be of] brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [shall be of] silver.
En die twintig pilare daarvan en hulle twintig voetstukke moet van koper wees; die hake van die pilare en hulle bande moet van silwer wees.

And likewise for the north side in length [there shall be] hangings of an hundred [cubits] long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets [of] brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [of] silver.
En so vir die noordekant in die lengte moet daar gordyne wees van honderd el lank, en sy twintig pilare en hulle twintig voetstukke van koper; die hake van die pilare en hulle bande van silwer.

And [for] the breadth of the court on the west side [shall be] hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.
En vir die breedte van die voorhof aan die weskant moet daar gordyne wees van vyftig el: hulle pilare tien, en hulle voetstukke tien.
13
And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward [shall be] fifty cubits.
En die breedte van die voorhof aan die oostekant ooswaarts moet vyftig el wees.
14
The hangings of one side [of the gate shall be] fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
Die gordyne aan die een sy van die poort moet vyftien el wees: hulle pilare drie, en hulle voetstukke drie.
15
And on the other side [shall be] hangings fifteen [cubits]: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
En aan die ander sy moet gordyne wees van vyftien el: hulle pilare drie, en hulle voetstukke drie.
16
And for the gate of the court [shall be] an hanging of twenty cubits, [of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: [and] their pillars [shall be] four, and their sockets four.
En vir die poort van die voorhof moet daar ‚'n bedekking wees van twintig el, van blou, en pers, en skarlaken, en fyn getwynde linne, geborduurde werk: en hulle pilare vier, en hulle voetstukke vier.

All the pillars round about the court [shall be] filleted with silver; their hooks [shall be of] silver, and their sockets [of] brass.
Al die pilare rondom die voorhof moet met silwer gebind wees; hulle hake moet van silwer wees, en hulle voetstukke van koper.
18
The length of the court [shall be] an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits [of] fine twined linen, and their sockets [of] brass.
Die lengte van die voorhof moet honderd el wees, en die breedte vyftig oral, en die hoogte vyf el van fyn getwynde linne, en hulle voetstukke van koper.

All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, [shall be of] brass.
Al die gereedskap van die tabernakel in al die diens daarvan, en al sy penne, en al die penne van die voorhof, moet van koper wees.
20
And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.
En jy moet die kinders van Israel beveel, dat hulle vir jou suiwer olyfolie, gestamp vir die lig, bring, om die lamp altyd te laat brand.
21
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which [is] before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: [it shall be] a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
In die tabernakel van die gemeente, buite die voorhangsel wat voor die getuienis is, moet Aäron en sy seuns dit van die aand tot die môre voor die HERE versorg: dit moet ’n ewige insetting wees deur hulle geslagte namens die kinders van Israel.
