1
And it shall be, when thou [art] come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
En dit sal gebeur, wanneer jy in die land kom wat die HERE jou God jou gee tot ‚'n erfenis, en jy dit in besit neem, en daarin woon;

That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put [it] in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.
Dat jy van die eerstelinge van al die vrug van die aarde neem, wat jy van jou land inbring wat die HERE jou God jou gee, en dit in ‚'n mandjie sit, en na die plek gaan wat die HERE jou God sal uitkies om sy Naam daar te laat woon.

And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.
En jy moet na die priester gaan wat in daardie dae daar sal wees, en tot hom sê, Ek bely vandag aan die HERE jou God, dat ek in die land gekom het wat die HERE aan ons vaders met ’n eed beloof het om aan ons te gee.

And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
En die priester moet die mandjie uit jou hand neem, en dit neersit voor die altaar van die HERE jou God.
5
And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish [was] my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
En jy moet antwoord en voor die HERE jou God sê, ’n Siriër wat omkom was my vader, en hy het afgegaan na Egipte, en daar as vreemdeling vertoef met ’n klein getal, en daar ’n nasie geword, groot, magtig, en baie:

And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
En die Egiptenaars het ons sleg behandel, en ons verdruk, en harde diensbaarheid op ons gelê:

And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
En toe ons tot die HERE, die God van ons vaders, geroep het, het die HERE ons stem gehoor, en ons ellende, en ons arbeid, en ons verdrukking aangesien:

And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
En die HERE het ons uit Egipte uitgebring met ‚'n magtige hand, en met ‚'n uitgestrekte arm, en met groot verskrikking, en met tekens, en met wonders:

And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, [even] a land that floweth with milk and honey.
En Hy het ons na hierdie plek gebring, en ons hierdie land gegee, selfs ‚'n land wat oorvloei van melk en heuning.

And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
En nou, kyk, ek het die eerstelinge van die vrug van die land gebring, wat U, o HERE, my gegee het. En jy moet dit neersit voor die HERE jou God, en aanbid voor die HERE jou God:

And thou shalt rejoice in every good [thing] which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that [is] among you.
En jy moet vrolik wees in al die goeie wat die HERE jou God jou en jou huis gegee het, jy, en die Leviet, en die vreemdeling wat onder jou is.
12
When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, [which is] the year of tithing, and hast given [it] unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;
Wanneer jy klaar is met die gee van al die tiendes van jou opbrengs in die derde jaar, wat die jaar van tiendes is, en dit aan die Leviet, die vreemdeling, die wees, en die weduwee gegee het, dat hulle binne jou poorte mag eet en versadig word;

Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of [mine] house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten [them]:
Dan moet jy voor die HERE jou God sê, Ek het die geheiligde dinge uit my huis uitgedra, en dit ook aan die Leviet, en aan die vreemdeling, aan die wees, en aan die weduwee gegee, volgens al u gebooie wat U my beveel het: ek het u gebooie nie oortree nie, en ek het dit nie vergeet nie:

I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away [ought] thereof for [any] unclean [use], nor given [ought] thereof for the dead: [but] I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, [and] have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
Ek het daarvan nie in my rou geëet nie, en ek het daarvan niks in onreinheid weggeneem nie, en ek het daarvan niks vir die dooie gegee nie: maar ek het na die stem van die HERE my God geluister, en gedoen volgens alles wat U my beveel het.

Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
Kyk af uit u heilige woning, uit die hemel, en seën u volk Israel, en die land wat U ons gegee het, soos U aan ons vaders met ’n eed beloof het, ’n land wat oorvloei van melk en heuning.

This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
Hierdie dag beveel die HERE jou God jou om hierdie insettinge en oordele te doen: jy moet hulle dus sorgvuldig onderhou en doen met jou hele hart, en met jou hele siel.

Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
Jy het vandag die HERE verklaar om jou God te wees, en om in sy weë te wandel, en sy insettinge, en sy gebooie, en sy oordele te onderhou, en na sy stem te luister:
18
And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that [thou] shouldest keep all his commandments;
En die HERE het jou vandag verklaar om sy besondere volk te wees, soos Hy jou beloof het, en dat jy al sy gebooie moet onderhou;
19
And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
En om jou hoog te sit bo al die nasies wat Hy gemaak het, in lof, en in naam, en in eer; en dat jy ‚'n heilige volk mag wees aan die HERE jou God, soos Hy gespreek het.
