Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
Onderhou die maand Abib, en hou die pasga aan die HERE jou God: want in die maand Abib het die HERE jou God jou in die nag uit Egipte uitgebring.

Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
Jy moet daarom die pasga aan die HERE jou God slag, van die kudde en die trop, in die plek wat die HERE sal uitkies om sy Naam daar te laat woon.
3
Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, [even] the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
Jy mag geen gesuurde brood daarmee eet nie; sewe dae moet jy ongesuurde brood daarmee eet, selfs die brood van ellende; (want jy het in haas uit die land Egipte uitgegaan:) dat jy die dag mag gedenk toe jy uit die land Egipte uitgegaan het, al die dae van jou lewe.

And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there [any thing] of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.
En daar mag geen suurdeeg by jou gesien word in jou hele gebied sewe dae lank nie; en daar mag niks van die vleis wat jy in die aand op die eerste dag slag, die hele nag tot die môre toe oorbly nie.

Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:
Jy mag die pasga nie binne enige van jou poorte slag, wat die HERE jou God jou gee nie:
6
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
Maar by die plek wat die HERE jou God sal uitkies om sy Naam daar te laat woon, daar moet jy die pasga slag in die aand, by die ondergaan van die son, in die seisoen toe jy uit Egipte uitgegaan het.
7
And thou shalt roast and eat [it] in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
En jy moet dit kook en eet in die plek wat die HERE jou God sal uitkies: en jy moet in die môre omkeer, en na jou tente gaan.
8
Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day [shall be] a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work [therein].
Ses dae moet jy ongesuurde brood eet: en op die sewende dag moet daar ‚'n heilige samekoms wees aan die HERE jou God: jy mag geen werk daarin doen nie.

Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from [such time as] thou beginnest [to put] the sickle to the corn.
Sewe weke moet jy vir jou tel: begin om die sewe weke te tel vanaf die tyd dat jy begin om die sekel in die koring te sit.
10
And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give [unto the LORD thy God], according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
En jy moet die fees van die weke hou aan die HERE jou God met ’n vrywillige offer van jou hand, wat jy moet gee volgens soos die HERE jou God jou geseën het:

And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that [is] within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that [are] among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
En jy moet vrolik wees voor die HERE jou God, jy, en jou seun, en jou dogter, en jou dienskneg, en jou diensmaagd, en die Leviet wat binne jou poorte is, en die vreemdeling, en die wees, en die weduwee, wat onder jou is, in die plek wat die HERE jou God sal uitkies om sy Naam daar te laat woon.
12
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
En jy moet gedenk dat jy ‚'n dienskneg was in Egipte: en jy moet hierdie insettinge sorgvuldig onderhou en doen.
13
Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
Jy moet die fees van die hutte sewe dae lank hou, nadat jy bymekaargemaak het van jou dorsvloer en van jou parskuip:
14
And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that [are] within thy gates.
En jy moet vrolik wees in jou fees, jy, en jou seun, en jou dogter, en jou dienskneg, en jou diensmaagd, en die Leviet, die vreemdeling, en die wees, en die weduwee, wat binne jou poorte is.
15
Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
Sewe dae moet jy ’n fees hou aan die HERE jou God in die plek wat die HERE sal uitkies: omdat die HERE jou God jou sal seën in al jou opbrengs, en in al die werk van jou hande, daarom moet jy sekerlik vrolik wees.
16
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:
Drie maal in die jaar moet al jou manlike voor die HERE jou God verskyn in die plek wat Hy sal uitkies; in die fees van die ongesuurde brode, en in die fees van die weke, en in die fees van die hutte: en hulle mag nie leeg voor die HERE verskyn nie;

Every man [shall give] as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
Elkeen moet gee soos hy in staat is, volgens die seën van die HERE jou God wat Hy jou gegee het.
18
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
Regters en amptenare moet jy vir jou aanstel in al jou poorte, wat die HERE jou God jou gee, deur jou stamme: en hulle moet die volk met regverdige oordeel oordeel.
19
Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
Jy mag die oordeel nie verdraai nie; jy mag die persoon nie aansien nie, en jy mag geen geskenk aanneem nie: want ’n geskenk verblind die oë van die wyse, en verdraai die woorde van die regverdige.
20
That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Dit wat heeltemal regverdig is, moet jy volg, dat jy mag lewe, en die land erf wat die HERE jou God jou gee.
21
Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
Jy mag vir jou geen bos van enige bome plant naby die altaar van die HERE jou God, wat jy vir jou sal maak nie.
22
Neither shalt thou set thee up [any] image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
Jy mag ook vir jou geen beeld oprig nie, wat die HERE jou God haat.
