At the end of [every] seven years thou shalt make a release.

And this [is] the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth [ought] unto his neighbour shall release [it]; he shall not exact [it] of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD’S release.
En dit is die manier van die vrylating: Elkeen wat ‚'n skuldeiser is van sy naaste, moet dit loslaat; hy mag dit nie van sy naaste of van sy broer eis nie; omdat dit die HERE se vrylating genoem word.

Of a foreigner thou mayest exact [it again]: but [that] which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;
Van ‚'n uitlander mag jy dit eis: maar dit wat joune is by jou broer, moet jou hand loslaat;

Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance to possess it:
Behalwe wanneer daar geen arme onder jou is nie; want die HERE sal jou grootliks seën in die land wat die HERE jou God jou gee tot ’n erfenis om te besit:

Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
Net as jy sorgvuldig luister na die stem van die HERE jou God, om sorgvuldig al hierdie gebooie te doen wat ek jou vandag beveel.

For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
Want die HERE jou God seën jou, soos Hy jou beloof het: en jy sal aan baie nasies uitleen, maar jy sal nie leen nie; en jy sal oor baie nasies heers, maar hulle sal nie oor jou heers nie.

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
As daar onder jou ‚'n arme is, een van jou broers binne enige van jou poorte in jou land wat die HERE jou God jou gee, moet jy jou hart nie verhard, of jou hand toesluit vir jou arme broer nie:

But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, [in that] which he wanteth.
Maar jy moet jou hand sekerlik oopmaak vir hom, en jy moet hom sekerlik genoeg leen vir sy behoefte, in dit wat hy kortkom.

Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
Pas op dat daar nie ’n gedagte in jou goddelose hart is, wat sê, Die sewende jaar, die jaar van vrylating, is naby; en jou oog is boos teen jou arme broer, en jy gee hom niks nie; en hy roep tot die HERE teen jou, en dit is sonde in jou.

Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
Jy moet hom sekerlik gee, en jou hart moet nie bedroef wees wanneer jy hom gee nie: omdat die HERE jou God jou om hierdie ding se ontwil sal seën in al jou werk, en in alles wat jy jou hand na uitsteek.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Want die armes sal nooit ophou uit die land nie: daarom beveel ek jou, en sê, Jy moet jou hand sekerlik oopmaak vir jou broer, vir jou behoeftige, en vir jou arme, in jou land.

[And] if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
En as jou broer, ’n Hebreër man, of ’n Hebreër vrou, aan jou verkoop word, en jou ses jaar dien; dan moet jy hom in die sewende jaar vry van jou laat weggaan.

And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
En wanneer jy hom vry van jou laat weggaan, moet jy hom nie leeg laat weggaan nie:
14
Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: [of that] wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
Jy moet hom sekerlik voorsien uit jou kudde, en uit jou dorsvloer, en uit jou parskuip: van dit waarmee die HERE jou God jou geseën het, moet jy aan hom gee.
15
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
En jy moet gedenk dat jy ‚'n dienskneg was in die land Egipte, en die HERE jou God jou verlos het: daarom beveel ek jou vandag hierdie ding.

And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
En dit sal gebeur, as hy tot jou sê, Ek sal nie van jou weggaan nie; omdat hy jou en jou huis liefhet, omdat dit goed met hom is by jou;
17
Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust [it] through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
Dan moet jy ‚'n priem neem, en dit deur sy oor in die deur steek, en hy moet jou dienskneg vir ewig wees. En ook aan jou diensmaagd moet jy so doen.

It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant [to thee], in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
Dit moet nie hard wees in jou oë, wanneer jy hom vry van jou laat weggaan nie; want hy het jou die dubbele van die huur van ’n gehuurde dienaar gedien, ses jaar lank: en die HERE jou God sal jou seën in alles wat jy doen.

All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
Al die eersgeborenes manlike wat onder jou beeste en onder jou skape gebore word, moet jy aan die HERE jou God heilig: jy mag nie met die eersgeborene van jou beeste werk nie, en jy mag die eersgeborene van jou skape nie skeer nie.
20
Thou shalt eat [it] before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
Jy moet dit eet voor die HERE jou God jaar vir jaar in die plek wat die HERE sal uitkies, jy en jou huisgesin.
21
And if there be [any] blemish therein, [as if it be] lame, or blind, [or have] any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
En as daar enige gebrek daaraan is, as dit lam is, of blind is, of enige slegte gebrek het, moet jy dit nie aan die HERE jou God offer nie.
22
Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean [person shall eat it] alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
Jy moet dit binne jou poorte eet: die onreine en die reine moet dit saam eet, soos die takbok, en soos die hert.
23
Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
Net jy mag die bloed daarvan nie eet nie; jy moet dit op die aarde uitgiet soos water.
